SF Zoo

Today, despite the chance of rain, we went to the San Fransisco Zoo. It was SO fun (and a bit chilly). The girls had so much fun seeing all the animals. Especially the grizzly bears. We sat and watched them for a good 30 minutes or so.

Princesses!

Thursday was Carey's and my anniversary, and, like I always do on our anniversary, I put on my wedding dress. Abby kept looking at me and hugging me saying "Mommy's a princess. Oh, my mommy princess!" She and Haley also dressed up like princesses, of course. Abby wore my veil and looked SO cute. Oh, and they hid under my dress and jumped out to surprise Carey when he got home!

Saturday Outing

This morning we decided to take the kiddos to Natural Bridges State Park to see the monarch butterflies. After we walked around the paths for a while, spotting many beautiful butterflies along the way, we walked over to the beach for a little snack. It was Seth's first time at the beach, and he pretty much slept through it. The girls had fun, though. Abby ran and ran and ran and ran. Haley sat with Carey and I and we all laughed at Abby running (she sort of looks like an old man when she runs).

They are looking at a butterfly that "someone broke"!

So Much To Say

Sethy has had so much to say lately. I finally got a little on video the other day.

(Sorry about the shadow. I have to hold the camera off to the side so that he can't see it. Anytime he sees the camera he stops what he's doing and just stares at it.)

Merry Christmas!

We had a busy but fun Christmas. We had Christmas morning at home, went to my parents' house for brunch, came home for naps, had Carey's parents over this afternoon, then went to Carey's aunt and uncle's house for dinner. The girls did remarkably well with all the busy-ness and gifts and excitement. Seth, on the other hand, becomes a little fussy with a lot of hustle and bustle. He's much happier now that we are just at home alone, quietly relaxing.

Their stockings were stuffed with a book, princess cell phones, mini slinkies ("ninkies"), beanies, and mini lint rollers (they LOVE lint rollers).

What could be in this beautifully wrapped present?

It's a teeter totter!

What did Seth do during the morning festivities, you might ask...

He was lying on the couch smiling away!

Two Times Tradition

This year, for the second year in a row, my brother, Nathan, made gingerbread houses for us to come over and decorate. We went over on Sunday and had a fun time decorating...and eating candy. Haley did a really good job decorating her house (and asking before she ate any piece of candy). Abby did a really good job eating candy all day! Really, she put like two pieces of candy on the house and about twelve hundred in her mouth! She takes after her mom...I ate plenty of candy myself! Oh, and somehow, Carey ended up with his own house to decorate, and he did a good job, too!
