Practice!

My brother's dog recently had puppies and the girls have been practicing being really gentle with them, just like they are going to be really gentle with baby Seth.

Fair Time!

It's that time of year again...the county fair is here. We took the girls last night and had a great time. My family met us there and we enjoyed fair food and letting the girls see all the animals. Much to my mother's delight, Abby and Haley LOVE the fair!

Abby had THE BIGGEST SMILE the whole time she rode her pony!

Haley was trying to smile, but was really focused on holding on TIGHT! She liked it, though:)

Daddy took the girls into the reptile barn, and apparently they both really liked the alligator and were touching it and petting it!

The last thing we did before we left was watch the pig races. The girls thought they were so cute!

Some Beach Firsts!

This afternoon we went to the beach with Auntie Jenny and experienced some important beach firsts.

Haley built her first sand castle (I mean, she filled the bucket, patted the sand down, flipped the bucket and lifted it off successfully).

(Gotta love the "camera smile".)

Also, both Abby and Haley got buried for the first time.

Quotable Kids!

Well, as the girls are getting more verbal (and sassy) every day, they've been saying some pretty hilarious things!

Yesterday morning, on the way to our worship gathering, Haley was in her car seat singing "Cats have whiskers. Mouse have whiskers. Not God have whiskers." So random.

Tonight, I leaned into Carey and he put his arm around me. Abby said, "you need a hug? You're too old and sick?" I really don't know where they come up with these things!

Sooo Big!

We were at the park the other day and the girls were doing the "fireman" pole all by themselves and I just couldn't get over it. They are so big!

Hooray Cardboard!

Grandpa Steve brought the girls a huge box the other day and converted it into a playhouse. Let me tell you, it's provided an awful lot of fun! They love to draw on it with chalk. They painted it with fingerpaints. They really like to crawl through the window (even though every time they fall through the window into the house they say "ow" as they land on the hard ground)!

So, once again, I will pose my most frequently asked question; why buy toys?

I can't believe I forgot...

I can't believe I forgot to put this in the camping post. It was the quote of the trip! Abby was sitting staring intently at my brother's nipple rings, then she looked up at him and said "I like your piercings"! Clearly, we are in for trouble with that girl!
